Gale Databases

Free use of Gale Databases!  Password for students is: learn.  Students can save articles to their Google Drives AND citations are provided for EACH article!

Reasons to use Gale Databases:

  • Includes related topics
  • Databases allow students to save their work all in one place.  The option to save resources in folders or to download, print, or email them. You can also highlight important information.

  • Resources help students avoid plagiarism. Most articles have the MLA citation printed at the bottom.  In addition, the databases have citation tools that allow students to import citations into EasyBib.  

  • Resources are copyright safe. Articles, photos, audio files, and videos from the TexQuest databases are copyright compliant.  They can be downloaded and/or embedded into your projects.

  • TexQuest databases provide resources for ELL learners; articles can be instantly translated into multiple languages.  

  • The uses of databases prepare our students for their future college and career experiences.

  • Reliable resources and gives users the ability to search multiple formats easily.

Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL)

The Purdue OWL is an excellent tool for students to use while writing papers.  Not only does it have tips and tricks for writing, but it also contains the MLA and APA guides.  Students can use this resource to format their paper, double check citations, and help improve their writing style.
