Vernon ISD Statement on COVID-19

Vernon ISD will be "Extending" Spring Break an additional week through Friday, March the 27th for students. Staff will be notified of what will be required of them next week via email as soon as our administrative team develops a game plan. Please be checking your staff email.

Vernon ISD will not have face to face instruction the following week of March 30th through April 3rd. We will post more information regarding how students will receive their instruction and meals as soon as possible.

We will update you on UIL and Extracurricular activities as soon as we have information.

Prom will be Postponed and not occur on April the 4th. As soon as we have more information, we will share that as well.

As most of you are aware, things are changing almost hourly. We will update everyone as soon as possible.

We would like to take this opportunity to express that this will be a help not a hurt situation. To ease all concerns, no grades will be negatively affected by this. The work that is provided will only be used to enhance their grades.

All staff will be paid throughout the school closure. Although some staff will be able to work remotely, some staff will still be required to report for certain job duties.
