Representatives from Balfour were at Vernon High School today for students to order senior rings and letter jackets. The media center was busy for most of the morning and early afternoon, as most junior and senior students stopped by to either order a class ring or letter jacket, or both.

This morning, the VISD Superintendent Advisory Council held their second meeting of the year and heard a presentation from Nancy Richey on the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign. She discussed how funds from the campaign are used and how the program operates with the help of volunteers who give their time to be the bell ringers during the campaign. Members of the advisory council decided to volunteer to take a turn at being bell ringers, and to take the information back to high school and encourage classmates to also volunteer. The students serving on the council also received their Student Advisory Council t-shirts.
