Big news for our students moving on to the 2nd grade next year!!

Today is School Principal's Day! Vernon ISD has some outstanding principals who work hard to make their school campuses the best they can be. We greatly appreciate all that they do for their students, teachers and staff!!

We know it is short notice, but we're sending our Class 3A State Track & Field Meet qualifiers -- Kameron Plyler & Jackson Aydelott -- to Austin this morning. They will be escorted down Wilbarger Street at approximately 8:15. Please step outside and cheer them on!!

Under UIL guidelines, all incoming 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students for the 2024-25 school year are required to undergo a sports physical if they plan on participating in ANY school sponsored sport. Also included are any students in the 8th, 10th or 12th grade who suffered an injury that required surgery within the last year. Here is a great opportunity from Wilbarger General Hospital to get that sports physical for free. Vernon ISD athletes need to pick up the sports physical paperwork from their coaches or trainer Brian Weatherly.

Congratulations to our VMS Students of the Week:
6th Grade -- Madison Daniel & Cayson Streit
7th Grade -- Avril Avitia & Grant Penter
8th Grade -- Giselle Clemente & Jesse Mejia
Great job!! Keep up the great work!!
