Our AP World History students have been studying Southeast Asia and Tuesday they took a trip to our VHS cafeteria to learn how to eat with chopsticks. A big "Thank You" to our VHS cafeteria staff for making the rice for the students to test their chopstick skills. They also had a little fun with the chopsticks.

This is Dr. Seuss Week at McCord Elementary as they celebrate the birthday of the author of many wonderful children's books. Tuesday was "Green Eggs and Ham Day" and some of our teachers shared photos of their students wearing green. In Mrs. Weddle's kindergarten class the students ate 'green eggs' which in reality was pudding tinted green with a vanilla wafer in the middle serving as the yolk of the egg. The daily celebrations for the rest of the week include: "Wacky Wednesday Day" when students can wear clothes backwards, inside out, or mismatched; Thursday is "Oh, The Places We Will Go! Day" with students dressing their best because it is also Picture Day; and Friday is "The Sleepy Book Day" when students can wear their favorite pajamas.
