Last week a two-vehicle accident drill was held in conjunction with the Vernon Fire Department, Vernon Police Department, AirVac, Wilbarger General Hospital and Sullivan Funeral Home. VHS seniors and juniors observed the drill. The scenario for the drill was a wreck on graduation night involving a teen driving under the influence, injuries to passengers, and a casualty. The hope is the drill will help instill in students the dangers of getting behind the wheel while under the influence.
