After last week's presidential election, students in Mrs. Courtney Jansas's 3rd grade class were curious about the election and presidency. They had ideas to vote for a class leader and they also wanted to create posters as if they were running for president. Mrs. Jansa turned their classroom into a voting area yesterday. There was a voting section with dividers; voting signs were posted; students created their own ID card and presented it when they went to vote; they received a ballot; turned in the ballot; and received a sticker for voting. On the ballot for the class leader, students had to give an example as to why the student they were voting for should be elected the class leader.
